Doubts need to come to the light and not stay making circles in our mind for years. We need to identify them and ask God for help. Leave a comment if you privately accomplished this task.

I have accomplished this privately

B.In Matthew 28:19, what is the last thing Jesus tells us to go and do in all the nations before He went to heaven? Why is it important for people to follow what Jesus said?

Jesus wanted His followers to share God’s love with everyone and teach people how to follow Him,to spread the good news to all corners of the world. Following Jesus’ command also helps people grow in love, kindness, and faith, while spreading His message to all nations and all people.

 .

*7. DEVOTIONAL (10 POINTS)*

We are going to be spending time learning about 12 common sins that we battle in life. Satan uses these sins to bring bondage, pain, and destruction into our life and draw us away from a close relationship with Jesus. Here are 12 common sins:

1. Lust

2. Anxiety & Stress

3. Confusion and Worry

4. Grumpy

5. Anger

6. Fear

7. Depression

8. Jealousy

9. Laziness

10. Pride

11. Desire to Gossip

12. Self-pity and victim mentality. (Explain what this means)

Why is it important to battle these sins?

It's important we battle sins because they can hurt our relationship with God, sin  brings pain, fear, and destruction into our lives.but When we fight against sin, we grow stronger in faith, make wiser choices, and become more loving, kind, and obedient to God.

Self-pity and a victim mentality means always feeling sorry for yourself, blaming others for everything or refusing to take responsibility.

Did you accomplish all of the Bible reading? Please leave a comment if you read the chapters above.

Yes I read all the above chapters

*6. BIBLE QUESTIONS (15 POINTS)*

Answer the following questions. Make sure your answer is 3 sentences or more:

A. Make a list of religious activities that people do in your culture like the Pharisees did in the time of Jesus. What religious things do people do like a Pharisee but their heart can be far away from God?

In Nigeria there are so many things we do in the name of Christianity but it's just being religious

I will list some points out from many for better understanding

1.Loud public prayers but private wickedness

2.Competing over church titles and recognition

3.Building churches while ignoring the poor and needy

4.Quoting Bible verses to judge others harshly

5.Looking down on other denominations or tribes

6.Acting holy in church but abusive at home

7.Depending on pastors or prophets more than having a genuine relationship with God

8.Using religion to cover greed, corruption, or fraud

9. Serving actively in church while harboring bitterness, envy, or unforgiveness

There are so many more things we do, forgetting that God sees our hearts always and can not be deceived.

B. In Matthew 23:23, Jesus says the more important things are justice, mercy, and faith. Can you describe what these things are and what they look like in a person that has them?

In The Gospel of Matthew 23:23, Jesus said:

“You have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness.”

One who has justice will never cheat ,or stand by when others are oppressed

One who has mercy will always forgive others, talk with kindness and have empathy.

One who is faithful is loyal, sincere and keeps to his words ,both before God and his fellow man.

C. Matthew 25 talks about how important it is to help those that are hungry, thirsty, naked, sick, and in prison. According to the Bible, why are these things important?

These things are important according to the bible because in Mathew 25:40

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Loving people is part of loving God and mercy reveals the condition of our hearts, and  selfishness separates us from God,So when we help the needy,we are loving God.

D. In Matthew 27 we see Jesus killed. It’s easy to forget that when Jesus suffered, it was for us. As you read Matthew 27 make a list of all the ways that Jesus suffered. Spend some time thinking about how much pain Jesus experienced for you and then think about how much Jesus loves you. Leave a comment if you did this.

Yes I did the above exercise ,thank you Jesus for counting me amongst your Chosen ones.Amen

*7. THE CHOSEN (15 POINTS)*

Watch this episode of the Chosen.

Season 2 Episode 3

EPISODE LINK: https://watch.thechosen.tv/video/184683594355?language=en

What is one thing you liked or learned?

One thing I liked about this episode of The Chosen was how it showed that the disciples were ordinary people with struggles, disagreements, and emotions. 8 learned that even people chosen by Jesus were not perfect, but they were still learning how to love and work together. So everyday iust simply strive and do my best and when we fail,we should always stand up and continue because we all are works in progress.

*8. PEER REVIEW (10 POINTS)*

*7. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER (10 POINTS)*

PTSD - Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - is one of several trauma-related disorders that a student you are working with could be struggling with. People who have experienced a traumatic event may experience PTSD, which can affect multiple areas of their lives. PTSD triggers can be sights, sounds, smells, or other sensory or emotional experiences that remind the person’s brain of the traumatic event, bringing them back into a state of stress, and often, panic.

Have you experienced a traumatic event? Do you know anyone who struggles with PTSD and triggers? Today, we will be thinking about how a relationship with Jesus could help a person with PTSD when triggers show up in their life. Take some time to reflect  on the following questions.

1. How could a relationship with Jesus help a person struggling with PTSD triggers?

A relationship with Jesus can help someone going through PTSD to  find peace during distress, Hope , healing and forgiveness .

2. What are some promises that God makes in His Word that could be comforting to someone with PTSD?

Matthew 11:28 — “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Isaiah 41:10 — “Do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”,This can be used to comfort and strength someone with PTSD.

*7. BIBLE QUESTIONS (10 POINTS)*

Answer the following questions with 3 sentences or more:

A. In Matthew 16:24-26 Jesus tells us what we must do if we want to follow Him. Think for a moment about things that hold people back from following Jesus with all their heart. Make a list of at least 5 things that people put above Jesus.

A lot of times,we are in love with material things and tend to put them before God such as

1.Love of money and power

2.Relationships

3.Greed and Covetousness

4.Pride

5.Personal ambitions

E. Matthew 19:22 is VERY sad. This man actually met Jesus! He had the incredible opportunity to follow Jesus and he turned it down. Write down 5 different ways this man missed out big time.

The rich man refused to sell all and follow Jesus,so he lost our on the following.

1.He gave up the opportunity to follow Jesus the Messiah

2.He valued earthly riches more than the lasting rewards of heaven.

3.He rejected true spiritual freedom for material things.

4.He missed out on the joy of fully surrendering to God.

5.He rejected a deeper relationship with Jesus, the true source of eternal life.

F. Matthew 20:28 talks about how Jesus came to serve. Do you have a servants heart? Are their people in your life that are difficult to serve? What should our motivation for serving other people be?

Having a servant’s heart means being willing to help others with humility, kindness, and love, even when it is not easy.Tgere are friends and relatives, even colleagues that make it difficult to you serve them, but I tell myself ,I serve not for praise or reward, but because Christ served me first and calls me  to put others before myself.

*8. BIBLE DEVOTIONAL (10 POINTS)*

When a person preaches to themself, they use a Bible verse and use it to remind them of the truth found in the Bible. This can be a huge source of encouragement and peace when going through a difficult time. Imagine that your child is in the hospital and you are scared. Here is how you can use Psalm 23 to preach to yourself:

EXAMPLE PRAYER

“God, I’m really scared right now with my child in the hospital. But I choose to trust you. I believe what you say in Psalm 23. I believe that even when I walk through dark times, you are with me and will not leave. I can depend on you to comfort me. I love you Jesus! Amen.”

For this project, imagine that you are struggling with a fear. Write out a prayer that you could use to preach to yourself using the Bible verse Psalm 23. Post the prayer that you write to the WhatsApp group.

“Lord, I am feeling  afraid and  right now, but I choose to trust in You. Your word in Psalm 23 reminds me that You are my Shepherd, and I have everything I need in You. Even when I walk through difficult and fearful situations, I will not be afraid because You are with me. Thank You for guiding me, protecting me, and giving me peace. I put my fear into Your hands and choose faith over worry. I love You, Jesus,my love above all things. Amen.”

*9. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER (10 POINTS)*

Let’s review the two disorders we have studied:

1. ATTACHMENT DISORDER: It’s also known as RAD. It’s the inability of children to form healthy, affectionate, relational attachments to parents and primary caregivers in their life.

2. PTSD: A traumatic event that happened to the child, someone the child knows, or something they saw. As a result, the child may relive that moment, have frequent flashbacks, nightmares, and be dominated by thinking of that event. The student is TRAPPED in their TRAUMA

Trauma and disorders can have TRIGGERS that bring back a memory of trauma. Here are some triggers that might be common in a classroom:

1. Rest time with lights down low

2. Fire Drills with loud sounds going off

3. Homework assignments that remind them of trauma. Ie. Learning about a war or disaster.

4. Teachers that do not create a safe learning environment.

5. Classmate Bullies

6. Touch: Giving a student a hug

7. Lots of change and no stability in class

Give several examples of how these 7 things can TRIGGER PTSD for a child. Your answers can be 1 sentence or longer.

Sudden loud sounds can remind a child of gunfire, explosions, domestic violence, or emergency situations, causing intense anxiety, freezing, crying, or emotional shutdown. This can trigger PTSD in the child.

*10. PEER REVIEW (10 POINTS)*

Find one student that posted in the homework group on whatsapp and review their work. This could be any project list you would like to review. Please mention who you reviewed and one thing you liked about their response or video they posted.

Yes I read the above bible chapters of Mathew 14 and 15

*5. BIBLE QUESTION (10 POINTS)*

Answer the following question with 3 sentences or more:

In Matthew 15:13-14 we see Jesus warned people to stay away from BLIND GUIDES. We have to be VERY careful that we don’t follow a spiritually BLIND GUIDE that leads us away from Jesus.

Amen.”

In Matthew 14 we see that Jesus went away from the people to spend time praying. We live in a very busy society and all day long our mind is drawn to our cell phone. Talk about several benefits to turning off all the noise, going away, and spending time praying like Jesus did.

Oh,I love this question because it's something I struggle with personally, but when ever I succeed to keep my phone and spend time in prayer,I feel at peace, less stimulated from too much screen time and I feel a sense of quietness to all problems around me.At times when I get really overwhelmed I just go to the chapel and sit in silence,it's a true and tried method .

*6. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER (10 POINTS)*

PTSD can be caused by a traumatic event that happened to the child, someone the child knows, or something they saw. As a result, the child may relive that moment, have frequent flashbacks, nightmares, and be dominated by thinking of that event. The student is TRAPPED in their TRAUMA.

Here are some examples:

- Accidents: Car accidents, electrical accident, drowning in water

- Fighting: Watching dad beat up the mom. Neighbors attack their older siblings

- Traumatic Medical Events

- Animal attacks

- Natural disasters: Hurricanes, Earthquakes, fires

- Physical, sexual, emotional abuse

- Violent Crime: Kidnapping, rape, gun shots, attacked with knife

- War, bombings, conflict

There are 5 different kinds of PTSD you will be learning about. Research online and briefly describe ONE of these types of PTSD in your own words (Don’t copy and paste information from Google)

FIVE different kinds of PTSD:

1. Normal Stress Response:

2. Acute Stress Disorder:

3. Uncomplicated PTSD:

4. Complex PTSD:

5. Comorbid PTSD:

Please describe ONE of these kinds of PTSD.

Comorbid PTSD is when the patient has PTSD with one or more mental or physical condition,E.g PTSD ,anxiety and depression.

*5. ESL RESEARCH (10 POINTS)*

Write a complete paragraph answering the following questions:
A. Why is it important for you as an English teacher to use hand gestures while teaching?
B. Are hand gestures helpful only for young learners?
*Make sure to support your answers with other authors and make the proper quotation.*

Hand gestures are an essential teaching tool in teaching English language because they improve understanding, capture learners’ attention, and make communication more effective. They  support students in remembering new information. McNeill (1992) stated that “gestures are an integral part of communication” (p. 1), highlighting their role in supporting both speech and thought.

Studies by Susan Goldin-Meadow (2003) and David McNeill (1992) highlight that hand gestures improve communication, understanding, and learning for both children and adults. Goldin-Meadow explained that gestures support thinking and learning, while McNeill emphasized that gestures are a natural and essential part of communication. This shows that using hand gestures in English teaching benefits learners of all ages by making lessons more interactive,it creates a more interactive and supportive learning experience.

*6. BIBLE READING (10 POINTS)*
Online Bible:

Reading Schedule:
Matthew 9: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+9&version=NLT
Matthew 11:
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+11&version=NLT

Did you accomplish all of the Bible reading? Please leave a comment if you read the chapters above.

Yes, I read Mathew Chapters 9 and 11

*7. BIBLE QUESTIONS (10 POINTS)*

Answer the following questions:

A. Reading God’s Word and memorizing Bible verses helps us guard against 3 ways Satan might try to deceive you. Satan is the master of lies and he commonly deceives people through:

1. Culture, friends, and family
2. Emotions and feelings
3. Social media, news, movies, music, or books

There are many voices claiming TRUTH. We have to be careful that we only listen to our Good Shepherd’s voice. The Bible is how we hear God’s voice. The Bible is our source of Truth. The Bible is our North Star. The Bible is our Foundation we build our lives on.

In Matthew 9:36 we see that Jesus had compassion on the people because they were like sheep without a shepherd. We have been learning a lot about sheep. Describe 5 ways a Shepherd helps a sheep.
The shepherd
1.Guides sheep on the right path
2.Provides food and water
3.Protects from predators and danger
4.Cares for wounds and sickness
5.Rescues lost sheep and keeps the flock together

B. Matthew 11:29 talks about taking Jesus’ yoke. What is a yoke and what does Jesus mean in this verse?

Matthew 11:29 says:
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Jesus Christ uses this metaphor to describe:
Submitting to His teaching and leadership,
Sharing my burden with Him rather than carrying it alone and  Learning from Him.

*8. THE CHOSEN (10 POINTS)*

*9. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER (10 POINTS)*
Your students may suffer from Post-traumatic stress disorder. PTSD is when a traumatic event happens to a child, someone the child knows, or something they saw. As a result, the child may relive that moment, have frequent flashbacks, nightmares, and be dominated by thinking of that event. The student is TRAPPED in their TRAUMA.

Common things that can cause PTSD in a student are:
- Accidents: Car accidents, electrical accident, drowning in water
- Fighting: Watching dad beat up the mom. Neighbors attack their older siblings
- Traumatic Medical Events
- Animal attacks
- Natural disasters: Hurricanes, Earthquakes, fires
- Physical, sexual, emotional abuse
- Violent Crime: Kidnapping, rape, gun shots, attacked with knife
- War, bombings, conflict

Research events and things that can cause PTSD on the internet. Post a link to an article and describe something you learned from the article about PTSD:

https://www.cdc.gov/children-mental-health/about/post-traumatic-stress-disorder-in-children.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com

I learnt that children with PTSD may seem inattentive or hyperactive, similar to ADHD, which can cause their trauma symptoms to be overlooked. Proper identification and early support are essential to help them heal.

Yes I completed the bible reading.

*4. BIBLE QUESTIONS - 20 POINTS*

Be ready to discuss:

A. We have been learning how Jesus is our Good Shepherd. He gave His life for us. Our responsibility is to listen to His voice and follow Him. There are many people that claim to know God but when we look at the fruit of their life, their actions say they do not know God. In Matthew 7 we see Jesus talk about this kind of person. Take a moment and think about what are some signs that show someone is a fake Christian. In Matthew 7 we see the importance of developing a deep and close relationship with Jesus. This type of love for Jesus will be evident to friends and family. This type of love for Jesus will not be coming from legalistic duty. This type of love for the Good Shepherd will come naturally and from a relationship. Think about what it would look like if someone REALLY loved Jesus. If you had a friend that really loved Jesus, list 5 ways you would know they had a deep and close relationship with God.

ANSWER:

If someone truly loves Jesus and has a deep relationship with Him, their life will reflect that connection in meaningful ways. Here are five signs:

- Shows love and kindness

- Obeys God willingly

- Prays and reads Scripture

- Displays godly character

- Leads others to Jesus

B. Matthew 8:3 is incredible! In this verse, we see that Jesus TOUCHED the man with Leprosy. Pretend for a moment that you are this man with Leprosy. What was it like the first time you discovered the leprosy on your skin. All of a sudden, all of the people you loved would not be near you. Your family would never hug or touch you again. If you fell to the ground, your friends would not help you up. You would have to move out of your home so others would not get leprosy. You would be alone. You couldn’t be near the people you loved. Imagine that years and years went by, and you forgot what it was like for another person to touch you. Now, read Matthew 8:3. Describe the emotions in a a few sentences about what you think the man felt when Jesus touched him and he was healed.

ANSWER:

When Jesus touched him, the man likely felt loved, accepted, and completely restored. After years of isolation, Jesus’ compassion brought him joy, peace, and healing both physically and emotionally.
