*7. BIBLE QUESTIONS (10 POINTS)*

Answer the following questions with 3 sentences or more:

A. In Matthew 16:24-26 Jesus tells us what we must do if we want to follow Him. Think for a moment about things that hold people back from following Jesus with all their heart. Make a list of at least 5 things that people put above Jesus.

A lot of times,we are in love with material things and tend to put them before God such as

1.Love of money and power

2.Relationships

3.Greed and Covetousness

4.Pride

5.Personal ambitions

E. Matthew 19:22 is VERY sad. This man actually met Jesus! He had the incredible opportunity to follow Jesus and he turned it down. Write down 5 different ways this man missed out big time.

The rich man refused to sell all and follow Jesus,so he lost our on the following.

1.He gave up the opportunity to follow Jesus the Messiah

2.He valued earthly riches more than the lasting rewards of heaven.

3.He rejected true spiritual freedom for material things.

4.He missed out on the joy of fully surrendering to God.

5.He rejected a deeper relationship with Jesus, the true source of eternal life.

F. Matthew 20:28 talks about how Jesus came to serve. Do you have a servants heart? Are their people in your life that are difficult to serve? What should our motivation for serving other people be?

Having a servant’s heart means being willing to help others with humility, kindness, and love, even when it is not easy.Tgere are friends and relatives, even colleagues that make it difficult to you serve them, but I tell myself ,I serve not for praise or reward, but because Christ served me first and calls me  to put others before myself.

*8. BIBLE DEVOTIONAL (10 POINTS)*

When a person preaches to themself, they use a Bible verse and use it to remind them of the truth found in the Bible. This can be a huge source of encouragement and peace when going through a difficult time. Imagine that your child is in the hospital and you are scared. Here is how you can use Psalm 23 to preach to yourself:

EXAMPLE PRAYER

“God, I’m really scared right now with my child in the hospital. But I choose to trust you. I believe what you say in Psalm 23. I believe that even when I walk through dark times, you are with me and will not leave. I can depend on you to comfort me. I love you Jesus! Amen.”

For this project, imagine that you are struggling with a fear. Write out a prayer that you could use to preach to yourself using the Bible verse Psalm 23. Post the prayer that you write to the WhatsApp group.

“Lord, I am feeling  afraid and  right now, but I choose to trust in You. Your word in Psalm 23 reminds me that You are my Shepherd, and I have everything I need in You. Even when I walk through difficult and fearful situations, I will not be afraid because You are with me. Thank You for guiding me, protecting me, and giving me peace. I put my fear into Your hands and choose faith over worry. I love You, Jesus,my love above all things. Amen.”

*9. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER (10 POINTS)*

Let’s review the two disorders we have studied:

1. ATTACHMENT DISORDER: It’s also known as RAD. It’s the inability of children to form healthy, affectionate, relational attachments to parents and primary caregivers in their life.

2. PTSD: A traumatic event that happened to the child, someone the child knows, or something they saw. As a result, the child may relive that moment, have frequent flashbacks, nightmares, and be dominated by thinking of that event. The student is TRAPPED in their TRAUMA

Trauma and disorders can have TRIGGERS that bring back a memory of trauma. Here are some triggers that might be common in a classroom:

1. Rest time with lights down low

2. Fire Drills with loud sounds going off

3. Homework assignments that remind them of trauma. Ie. Learning about a war or disaster.

4. Teachers that do not create a safe learning environment.

5. Classmate Bullies

6. Touch: Giving a student a hug

7. Lots of change and no stability in class

Give several examples of how these 7 things can TRIGGER PTSD for a child. Your answers can be 1 sentence or longer.

Sudden loud sounds can remind a child of gunfire, explosions, domestic violence, or emergency situations, causing intense anxiety, freezing, crying, or emotional shutdown. This can trigger PTSD in the child.

*10. PEER REVIEW (10 POINTS)*

Find one student that posted in the homework group on whatsapp and review their work. This could be any project list you would like to review. Please mention who you reviewed and one thing you liked about their response or video they posted.
