Hebrews 12:1

Sin is a weight that simply drags us down, the difference between the weight of Shrek after 6 years of avoiding shearing and when is wool was finally cut down,is what it feels like when we live in sin and don't go before Good with repentance.

*6. TRAUMA INFORMED TEACHER - 10 POINTS*

Answer the following questions with at least two sentences:

Attachment disorder can be caused in different ways. Here’s a few examples of things that can cause attachment disorder:

- A child is transferred from foster home to foster home with multiple short term relationships. None of them are stable and the child learns that an attachment will be broken.

- A parent sexually, physically or verbally abuses their child leading to broken attachments and basic needs not met.

As a teacher, you need to be watching for students that might have attachment disorder. Here are a few examples of how you might identify attachment disorder:

- Students are Hot and Cold. You feel like the student likes you and friendship is close. The next day, the student pushes you away and treats you cold. They may do this because relationships that get too close may remind them of other close relationships that hurt them. They might be protecting their emotions. They are afraid to love someone.

- Students are Developmentally Challenged. Children with attachment disorder may have had difficulty emotionally developing and act younger than their age. You may have a student that you think, wow, they are acting immature for how old they are.

- Student Prefers Strangers. They may be affectionate and prefer relationships with strangers over people they know. They may meet someone new in your class and treat them like their best friend. New people are not threatening because there is not an emotional connection. They don’t have anything to lose with a stranger

Can you describe one other way that attachment disorder can be caused in a child?

Another way attachment disorder can develop is through severe emotional neglect or inconsistent caregiving in early childhood.

Attachment disorder can also result from severe emotional neglect or inconsistent caregiving during early childhood. When a child’s emotional needs for love, comfort, and support are repeatedly unmet, they may struggle to build secure relationships and begin to see caregivers as unreliable.

*7. WATCH VIDEO - 10 POINTS*

Hannah’s Story:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXRlibeRmA4&t=4s

A. How can education help orphans?

Education can make a huge difference in the lives of orphans by giving them guidance, and a safe environment. It can help them build confidence and create better opportunities

B. In what ways did Hannah show signs of attachment disorder in the movie?

Hannah showed several signs of attachment disorder, such as struggling to build relationships, difficulty trusting people and emotional avoidance.

B. In John 8:58-59 we see that people wanted to kill Jesus. Why did they want to kill Him?

In John 8:58–59, they wanted to kill Jesus because He said, “before Abraham was, I am,” which they understood as Him claiming to be God—so they accused Him of blasphemy.

It can show as either withdrawn behavior (RAD) or overly friendly behavior with strangers (DSED).

*8. EARNING MONEY TEACHING ENGLISH (10 POINTS)*

Do some research online and share three tips for how to develop good relationships with the parents of students you tutor. Why would this be important to develop relationships with the parents?

1. Communicate regularly and clearly

Keep parents updated on progress, challenges, and wins. Short messages build trust and keep them involved.

2. Show respect and listen

Treat parents as partners. Listen to their concerns and insights—they know their child best.

3. Be consistent and reliable

Be on time, prepared, and follow through. Consistency builds confidence in you as a tutor.

Why this is important:

Building strong relationships with parents creates a support system for the student. When parents and tutors work together, the child gets consistent guidance, encouragement, and accountability—leading to better learning and overall development.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhEUzFFrp7c&list=PLAVCV4yPW7KadH98ODobbgGYo9t2vw4vz&index=3&ab_channel=WOWENGLISH

A. Why is it powerful to teach with English Only?

Teaching entirely in English is effective because it fully surrounds learners with the language, encouraging them to grasp meaning through context, actions, and repetition rather than translation. This approach develops genuine communication ability instead of simple memorization.

As a result, students start thinking directly in English, which speeds up their fluency. It also keeps lessons engaging and centered on actively using the language.

B. Why is it powerful to use sound effects and fun sounds while teaching?

It is powerful to use sound effects and fun sounds while teaching because;

It Grabs and holds students’ attention

It makes the  lessons memorable and engaging

And helps the  students connect meaning with emotion and action

This is especially effective for young learners because it turns language into a fun, multi-sensory experience, making vocabulary easier to remember.

C. How often did the teacher have the children moving or talking?

Throughout the lesson, the teacher rarely lets students sit passively. The children are:

Repeating words

Answering questions

Acting things out

Moving their bodies

There are very few moments where students are just listening quietly.

D. Why is it powerful to have children moving and talking during class?

Having students move and talk:

Keeps them actively engaged (not bored or distracted)

Reinforces learning through physical action (TPR – Total Physical Response)

Increases speaking confidence and participation

Helps memory through doing, not just hearing

Active involvement leads to better retention and faster language acquisition because students are using the language in real time.

*6. BIBLE QUESTIONS*

Answer the following question with at least 3 sentences. If you are Muslim, Hindu, or from another religion, we understand that you don’t know that much about the Bible. We just ask that you show effort and try to answer the question as best you can. It’s ok if the answer is not correct.

Question: In John 2:24, we see that Jesus knew what was in human nature. What did he know about human nature?

In John 2:24–25, Jesus did not place His trust in those who believed in Him because He had a deep understanding of human nature.

He knew that people’s faith can be shallow, often based only on miracles or outward signs rather than genuine belief. He also understood that human hearts are unstable and can easily change. Many individuals are motivated by their own interests instead of true devotion, and their real intentions may be hidden behind their actions.

Overall, Jesus recognized that people are not always sincere in their faith, and that true belief requires a genuine inner transformation.
